Gardermoen wins an international award poll

Oslo Airport was named the winner for the year’s medium-sized airport in an international award poll.

Avinor announced in a press release that Norway’s main airport, Gardermoen, was at the top in a new award poll, CAPAs Aviation Award for Excellence in the category of airports with more than 10 million passengers a year.

“This is a nice acknowledgement for us and everyone who works at the airport. We work every day to be perceived as a European top-class airport and this shows that we are well on our way” said Øyvind Hasaas, airport director at Gardermoen Airport Oslo.

The award is presented by the Center of Aviation (CAPA), which conducts market analysis in the airline and travel industry.
In the jury’s considerations, CAPA drew up the planning and start-up of the new terminal, work on route development, new extensions, and environmental work, including electric aircraft.
