Minister of Trade was informed about the DNB disclosure last week

The Norwegian Trade Minister Monica Mæland received last week important information about revelations that DNB has helped customers to establish companies in tax havens.

DNB´s subsidiary company DNB Luxembourg assisted in the period 2006-2010 around 40 clients to create a company in the Seychelles, an archipelago north of Madagascar, according to the newspaper Aftenposten.
Trade and Fisheries Ministry confirmed to the newspaper Dagbladet that Minister Monica Mæland was informed about the situation several days ago.
– DNB oriented the Trade Minister in the middle of last week about what they knew about the case, says communications manager Trond Viken in the Ministry.
Several financial politicians react sharply on the revelations. Christian Democrat Hans Olav Syversen reviewing the case as disgraceful. He is supported by the Socialist Left Party, who calls it “completely unacceptable.” Labor is “very disappointed.”
