The National Institute of Public Health (FHI) is not planning new corona measures before Christmas, Camilla Stoltenberg said on Thursday. But the situation can change quickly, and new measures cannot be ruled out.

When asked by TV 2 whether new corona measures could be put in place before Christmas, the FHI director answered:

“Not according to the plan, but we can not rule out anything. Changes happen so fast.”

She emphasized that the situation is very uncertain. She also noted that the FHI is continuously assessing whether there is a need for new measures but that the health authorities now primarily want to see the effects of the measures that have already been introduced.

“We must be open to adjustment of the measures if we see that they do not work in practice,” Stoltenberg said.
