No new people or objects were found during the night at Kvamskogen in Hardanger. Three people are still missing.

On Monday night, the police made it clear that they no longer hoped to find the three missing people in Kvam alive. The search operation was scaled down, and a search is now underway for the presumed dead.

Volunteers have been on duty at observation posts in strategic places during the night.

On Tuesday, the police will reorganize the search and make a plan for further efforts in the area. The water level is still high in the area, which affects the work, the police stated in a press release on Tuesday.

“There have been no active searches for the missing people throughout the night. It would be too dangerous,” operations manager Tatjana Knappen in the Western Police District told Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK).
