Trondheim has been announced as the host of the 2024 European Championships in Culinary Arts, “Bocuse d’Or Europe”.

Exciting food destination

Trondheim has been selected as the host for the 2024 edition of the “Bocuse d’Or Europe.” This caps an exciting few years for the city as it has seen its culinary culture explode. Three of the city’s restaurants now boast a prestigious Michelin star and the hosting of this competition will cement it as a “foodie” destination.

Kristian Dahlberg Hauge, director of industry, transport, climate, and environment in Trondheim Municipality, spoke of his vision for the region that the competition would bring. The competition will “be used to strengthen the visibility of Trøndelag products, producers, and restaurants on the international market.”

Norway has a strong tradition in the competition having won the equal most times along with France. Trondheim will be the third Scandinavian city to host the competition after Bergen (2008) and Stockholm (2014).
