Christian André Pettersen secured the gold medal for Norway in the European final in Bocuse d’Or Europe in Tallinn on Friday.

Thus, the Norwegian team defended its 2019 European championship gold.

Last year, the Norwegian team ended up in third place at the World championship.

“This feels good. Now I am tired but happy. I had an absolutely fantastic team around me today and kept calm all the way,” a relieved Pettersen told Godt.no.

Now Pettersen will prepare for the World championship gold.

“Impressive victory”

“This is a fantastically impressive and important victory. This gold gives a real boost to gastro tourism. Many of the world’s food enthusiasts will notice that the victory of Europe’s best chef has gone to Norway, and it will increase interest in our country as a food destination,” NHO Reiseliv’s CEO Kristin Krohn Devold said.

“Christian André Pettersen’s efforts can contribute to attracting many more affluent travelers to Norway,” Devold noted.

Christian André Pettersen was born and raised in Bodø.

He has dreamed of becoming a world-class chef since he was nine years old.
