The infection has increased considerably in Oslo recently. Due to the spike, the University of Oslo (UiO) will start rapid testing all students and employees on Tuesday.

The rapid tests must be performed at Blindern, where the UiO has a campus. All students and staff who visit the campus at Blindern are encouraged to take the test at least once a week for the next three weeks.

Two test booths will be set up at Frederikkeplassen on Blindern: one for students and staff with symptoms and one for those without symptoms.

The goal is to detect infection quickly and be able to initiate infection tracking early in the process.

The university estimates that between 1,500 and 2,000 students will be tested each week.
