Masters degree requirements subject to pedagogy-students
Minister of Education and Research Torbjørn Røe Isaksen will extend the transitional arrangement for admission to teacher training (PPU). The requirement for masters will only apply from the academic year 2018-19.
That means bachelor graduates will be able to apply for PPU until the end of the academic year 2018-2019, informs Ministry Friday.
– In connection with that teacher education is now becoming a five-year master’s degree, it is natural that there will be a requirement masters to take PPU. However, we see that the transition period could be key, especially in a period of major restructuring in the workplace. We will therefore postpone the introduction of the requirement for Masters by two years, until 2019, says Minister
