Written exams and many oral exams in junior high schools and upper secondary schools will be canceled this spring due to the infection situation.

The Ministry of Education and Research revealed the information on Monday.

“We would have very much liked to complete all exams as planned. There have been some very different educational offers for the pupils this school year, which provides a different assessment basis.

“A joint and equal written exam is therefore no longer a suitable test of what the students have learned,” Minister of Education Guri Melby (V) said.

An oral examination will be conducted for the graduating students in 10th grade and VG3.

Students who need to complete an examination to obtain a diploma or trade and journeyman’s certificate and students with the right to a new, postponed, and special examination may also complete the examination as normal.

All oral-practical and practical exams are canceled.
