The County Governors and the Directorate of Education will investigate the consequences of the teachers’ strike. Several actors have warned of the serious consequences of the strike.

The task was formally put out to the County Governors on Friday, the newspaper VG writes. On Friday, Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) wrote that the state had not launched any investigations into the consequences of the teachers’ strike – which has passed the 100-day mark.

Acting director of education Bente Barton Dahlberg told VG that they are in ongoing dialogue with the County Governors and the Ministry of Education about the situation.

“We have a task, given to us by the Ministry of Education, to shed light on the extent and consequences of the reduced school offer as a result of the strike. In this connection, we have sent a request to the County Governors and asked for factual information about the situation,” Dahlberg wrote in an email.

One of the reasons why it is necessary to investigate the consequences of the strike is that several people have warned against the serious consequences of the long-lasting teachers’ strike.
