As was the case last year, the spring exams should be canceled, according to the School Student Union of Norway.
“With a green level of preparedness in upper secondary school and such a high infection pressure, there will be variations in the infection measures around the country. That, combined with almost two years of affected learning, gives more reasons to cancel the spring exams than to carry them out,” leader of the School Student Union of Norway, Edvard Botterli Udnæs, told Utdanningsnytt.
Those who are now high school graduates only completed one regular semester before the corona pandemic broke out. These students have had to adapt to school days characterized by following classes from home and constant changes, Udnæs pointed out.
“There have been large variations in the education these students have received,” he noted.
