Written and oral exams in junior high school and upper secondary high school this spring will be canceled.

As in 2020 and 2021, Norwegian authorities decided to cancel exams due to the corona pandemic.

Minister of Education Tonje Brenna (AP) announced the information at a press conference on Friday.

“This is not an easy decision. I think the exam is an important part of the final assessment, and we will have exams in Norwegian schools in the future,” Brenna said at a press conference on Friday.

Thus, the government decided to follow the recommendation from the Directorate of Education.

As in 2020 and 2021, exceptions have been made for some students.
