There were just over 2.98 million jobs in Norway in the third quarter of 2021. That is an increase of 129,000 jobs compared with the same period in 2020.
The number of jobs in the third quarter of the year is the highest ever measured in Statistics Norway’s (SSB) statistics.
“The decline in jobs that we saw during the corona outbreak has been surpassed.
“For the first time, there’s an increase in the number of jobs compared with the quarters before the corona pandemic,” Tonje Køber, section manager for the labor market and wages in Statistics Norway, noted.
Compared with the third quarter of 2020, the growth is 4.5%. The growth amounts to 0.7% compared with the same quarter in 2019 – that corresponds to 20,000 jobs.
