15-year-old boy confesses to double murder in Kristiansand

A 15-year-old, ethnic Norwegian, boy confessed to a double murder in Kristiansand on Monday.

Many lines of evidence led police to the boy, who was confronted with the accusation, and on Tuesday night, confessed almost immediately to having perpetrated the killings.

He has given a detailed statement to the police, and police report that they trust his explanation.

‘We have no concrete evidence that there was more than one perpetrator’, said Chief of the Joint Criminal Unit, Terje Kaddeberg Skaar.

Information and facts from the 15-year-old suspect, tips from the public and their own investigation, have led to the police having now formed a total picture of events leading up to the double murder on Monday afternoon. They don’t want, currently, to make a public statement giving information about the motive behind the killings.
