A 30-year-old man was sentenced by the Bergen District Court to three and a half years in prison for rape in September 2018.

The victim was a man who lived on the floor below.

The 30-year-old claimed they had voluntary sex the night before on Saturday, September 15, two years ago, local newspaper Bergens Tidende writes.

The neighbor explained that he had gone to bed, fell asleep, and woke up because the other man abused him.

He went to the rape clinic where samples confirmed DNA matches for the 30-year-old.

NOK 150,000 of compensation

The night before, the two had gone out to town together.

They did not go home together, as text messages showed, among other things.

The convicted man must pay NOK 150,000 in compensation.

“Sexual abuse has an unpredictable potential for harm, and it is, therefore, important that there is a strict response,” the public prosecutor Rudolf Christoffersen said.

I always wonder how a man can rape another man unless he is willing!! Very strange.
