A total of 57 new cases of corona infection have been registered in Bergen in the last 24 hours. Younger adults dominate the infection picture, municipal chief physician Trond Egil Hansen noted.

“There are still high infection rates, at the same level as the last couple of days. Younger adults with many close contacts now dominate the infection picture. In addition to the well-known infection rules about distance, hygiene, and staying home in case of symptoms, it is important to limit the number of close contacts,” Hansen noted on the Municipality’s website.

Of the 57 new cases of infection, one is between 0 and 5 years, one between 6 and 12 years, one between 13 and 19 years, 33 between 20 and 29 years, 13 between 30 and 39 years, five between 40 and 49 years, one between 50 and 59 years, one between 70 and 79, and one is over 80 years.

Infection among close contacts

A total of 34 of those infected are close contacts, eight are cases of imported infections, and ten currently have an unknown route of infection. Five of the cases of infection have not been mapped yet.

On Friday, 62 new cases of infection were reported in Bergen, but this number has been written down to 52 after removing double registrations and other errors.

A total of 2,033 people tested themselves for coronavirus in Bergen on Friday.
