The Danish authorities plan to develop a digital vaccine passport. The passport will be ready in three to four months.

The goal is for the passport to be used in connection with travel.

The passport will be developed in collaboration with the business and culture sector, the Danish Ministry of Finance announced on Wednesday.

In the first step, from the end of February, Danes will be able to go to a website that confirms their vaccine status in the same way as they can currently check test results for COVID-19.

After that, a digital vaccine passport will be created. If health professional assessments allow it, the rollout of the passports can be fairly quick, the Danish government writes.
