Driver charged after death of woman who was hit by garbage truck on Nøtterøy
A woman in her 20s died on Monday after being hit by a garbage truck on Nøtterøy. Now the driver has been charged, according to Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK).
“He is charged with negligently causing another person’s death,” police lawyer Sigrun Våge told NRK.
On Monday morning, a woman was hit by a garbage truck in a residential area on Nøtterøy in Færder municipality.
She died from the injuries.
Crime technicians are working to investigate the incident together with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration.
Several witnesses have been questioned, and the vehicle has been investigated.
The police have questioned the driver but did not want to go into detail about his explanation.
