The reindeer herder, who has been missing in Tanadalen in Finnmark since Thursday, has been found on Friday. He was safe but hungry and tired, the police say.

The man in his 20s was reported missing in Tanadalen in Finnmark on Thursday night by his family

According to the police, it was very cold in the area, but the man managed to endure spending the night outside.

The man was found near Levsse, on the Norwegian side of the border.

“He was found by the search crews just before 10 o’clock. He was safe but hungry and tired. He must have gotten stuck with the snowmobile,” operations manager Stein Hugo Jørgensen in the Finnmark Police District told NTB.

The police, volunteers from the Red Cross and the Civil Defense, two air ambulance helicopters, and the Rescue coordination center assisted in the search.
