Haugaland and Sunnhordland District Court: 23-year-old man sentenced to six years in prison for rape

A man has been sentenced in Haugaland and Sunnhordland District Court to six years and three months in prison for raping women and storing pictures of the abuse.

During one of the assaults that the man has been convicted of, the woman was handcuffed before the man beat her around 30 times, the district court wrote in its verdict. The man has also been convicted of repeatedly raping a woman he was cohabiting with.

In both cases, according to the women, the man expressed that there was no point in resisting.

The man denied criminal guilt for the rapes and came to court with strong accusations against the two women. In its verdict, the court wrote that it did not trust the man’s explanations.

When the man was arrested, police found 25 pictures of abuse of children on his phone.
