The time has come for Norway to start the second step of its reopening plan, according to the professional advice to the government from the Norwegian Directorate of Health and the National Institute of Public Health (FHI).

Today, Prime Minister Erna Solberg (H) will inform the public about the next step in the reopening. In April, she presented a reopening plan that consists of four steps.

“The Directorate and the FHI recommend the implementation of step two of the government’s reopening plan – with some adjustments,” the professional advice to the government states.

Press conference at 11:30 AM

According to NTB’s sources, there will be no major surprises at the press conference that Erna Solberg will hold at 11:30 AM.

The Prime Minister will announce when the next step can occur, or at least when the government hopes it can occur.

Two hours after Solberg’s conference, there will be a press conference in Oslo.

There, City Council chief Raymond Johansen will inform the public about the reopening of the capital. Among other things, it is expected that there will be long-awaited news about when the capital’s restaurants and bars will be allowed to serve alcohol again. The relief in Oslo could be introduced as early as Thursday next week.
