A landslide has swept away about 250 meters of county road 98 at Steinvik in Tana. Three people have been evacuated from nearby cabins.
The recommended detour is the E6 via Lakselv, Vegtrafikksentralen nord informed drivers on Sunday morning.
The landslide was reported just before five o’clock.
There are no signs that anyone has been swept away by the landslide.
“We have evacuated three people, and we have checked between ten and fifteen properties in connection with the landslide site. We consider the evacuation finished,” assignment manager Sondre Olsen Bakka told news bureau NTB.
The Municipality, together with geologists, will now assess the area. The road will be closed indefinitely, according to the police.
