A man in his 30s is accused of having killed a woman in Noresund in Krødsherad. The man reported himself to the police. The woman and the man were cohabitants.

The man called the police himself and reported the incident just after midnight, police inspector Odd Skei Kostveit in the Southeastern Police District told NTB.

The man then went to Modum police station, where he was arrested.

“The arrest took place without drama. The woman has been found in their home. We have not started technical investigations yet,” Kostveit said.

The woman was alive when the ambulance arrived at the scene, but the injuries were so extensive that she died, Kostveit stated in a press release.

The man has given a brief explanation of what happened to the police.

“We want to interrogate him as soon as possible,” the police noted.
