A man in his 20s has been stabbed in the center of Bergen. He has been sent to Haukeland University Hospital. One suspect has been arrested.

The man called the police himself and reported that he had been stabbed with a knife in the neck, the Western Police District reports.

“The damage shouldn’t be too extensive. We are at Haukeland with him,” operations manager Frode Kolltveit told news bureau NTB early on Sunday morning.

Beyond that, the extent of the damage is not known. A man in his 20s has been arrested, suspected of being the attacker.

The police were notified of the case at 4:15 AM.
