People eat producers empty of ice cream
Because of the heat ice cream sell faster than hot cakes on a cold day. At Hennig-Olsen the ice cream freezers are empty, and at Diplom-Is there are record sales.
In May, Hennig-Olsen had an increase of 30 per cent in their sales. In June, growth has been around 20 per cent, writes Dagens Næringsliv.

The grocery giant Norges Gruppen, also reports of challenges due to the enormous sales – Not in the least in the selection of ice creams available.
– People eat the freezers empty of ice cream. This year, the summer season started very early due to the fantastic weather, says Communications Manager in Norgesgruppen, Kine Søyland.
Diplom-Ice announces that they have had sales records both in May and June, and can also report of growth compared to last year.
– In the period from May to July, we have seen a total increase in turnover of approximately 26 per cent compared to last year. So far this year, the growth in individual variants has been up 60 per cent, says Managing Director in Diplom-Is, Rita Kristin Broch.
