Pfizer and BioNTech say they will step up vaccine deliveries to the European Union (EU), promising up to 75 million new doses by spring.

“We will continue to work on increased deliveries from February 15. That will ensure that we deliver all the doses we have to deliver under contract for this quarter, plus another 75 million in the second quarter,” the vaccine manufacturer noted in a statement.

The announcement was made just before a vaccine conference convened by German Prime Minister Angela Merkel.

As of January 29, a total of 100,343 people have been vaccinated with the first dose of the corona vaccine in Norway, according to the National Institute of Public Health’s (FHI) statistics.
