The man who was arrested after a man was found seriously injured at Grünerløkka in Oslo on Saturday has been charged with attempted murder. He denies criminal guilt.
The police confirmed the information to TV 2.
The victim was found badly injured in Vogts gate. He was bleeding profusely from his stomach and was taken to hospital.
“We now know that the victim will survive. He has not yet been questioned,” Roger Hjertø in the Oslo Police District told the channel on Sunday.
Both the accused and the victim are in their 20s, and according to the police, there is a relationship between them. The police also stated that there were several people present during the incident.
The police do not rule out that there will be more arrests in the case.
Denies criminal guilt
The accused’s lawyer, Kjell Dahl, stated that the accused man was questioned on Sunday. He also confirmed that his client denies criminal guilt.
“It is still early in the investigation, so I will not comment on the case beyond that. He is prepared for a possible detention,” Dahl told TV 2.
The newspaper Dagbladet received confirmation that a knife had been found in connection with the case. Still, it is not entirely certain that the found knife was the knife used in the incident.
