On Thursday, Norway will send 2,000 M270 anti-tank missiles to Ukraine to contribute to the fight against the Russian aggression.
The rockets were packed at Gardermoen in the morning.
“It’s an anti-tank weapon. You can say that it is an individual’s weapon against tanks,” Commander Remi Jakobsen from the Norwegian Armed Forces’ logistics organization (FLO) told NTB.
“It is a relatively simple weapon to use. It serves as a defense against tanks and could have an effect there,” Jakobsen added.
The rockets will be transported to a third country by a Hercules C130 transport aircraft before being transported to Ukraine.
