Police: The young man, who was shot in Oslo on Thursday night, has died

The 20-year-old man shot at Mortensrud in Oslo on Thursday night died on Friday, the Oslo Police District announced in a press release.

“The investigation continues and is now characterized as a murder investigation,” the police wrote. The relatives of the deceased have been notified.

The police were notified of the shooting, which took place outside Lofsrud school at Mortensrud in Søndre Nordstrand district, at 10:22 PM on Thursday.

In a press release on Friday morning, the head of Intelligence and Investigation (FEE) in the Oslo Police District, Grete Lien Metlid, said that the police are prepared to carry out a very serious investigation.

No persons have yet been arrested in the case.
