Increased testing capacity at the borders and scaled-up analysis capacity are among the measures that the Progress Party (FRP) wants the government to introduce.

The mutated virus has not originated in Nordre Follo, it has been imported. The Progress Party has warned against rising imported infection for a long time,” the FRP’s deputy leader Sylvi Listhaug said.

“Use health personnel who are retired but who want to do something now, the Armed Forces’ resources, and capacity from the Home Guard,” the FRP noted.

In addition to increased testing capacity and scaled-up analysis capacity, the party is asking the government to establish tighter control over quarantine.

They believe that more people should be in quarantine hotels.

The FRP also requests a temporary tightening of the entry regulations for coming to Norway, as well as a more ambitious crisis package for Norwegian businesses and employees.

“This lockdown will have very dramatic consequences for many companies and employees in the municipalities affected.”
