Sweden brings home embassy personnel from Kyiv
Sweden is reducing the number of employees at the embassy in Kyiv due to the security situation in the country.
“Due to the serious and unpredictable security situation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided to reduce the number of employees at the Swedish Embassy in Kyiv,” Foreign Minister Ann Linde noted in a statement.
The families of the employees at the embassy in Ukraine have already returned home at the request of the Swedish Foreign Ministry.
“The government is following developments in and around Ukraine closely,” Linde added.
The embassy will continue providing consular activities and assistance, in addition to diplomatic activities.
