According to the Swedish Coast Guard, there are four, not three, leaks on the gas pipelines Nord Stream 1 and 2. The fourth leak was discovered on Tuesday, according to the newspaper Aftonbladet.
The leak is located between the two leaks on Nord Stream 1 but originates from Nord Stream 2, which runs in parallel. It has a diameter of 200 meters, Aftonbladet reports.
The newspaper Svenska Dagbladet was the first to report the fourth leak on Wednesday evening.
Aftonbladet writes that the leak was detected on Tuesday.
“It’s not like it was just discovered. I think it is a case of conceptual confusion about positions and where the respective leaks are located,” a source told the newspaper.
