Tom Ketil Krogstad has been sentenced to eight months in prison in Trøndelag District Court for mediating contact between prostitutes and sex customers.

Krogstad has also been convicted of making the premises of the sex club Club 4 in Trondheim, which he owns, available to prostitutes. The pimping took place between September 2016 and January 2019.

The verdict is in line with the plaintiff’s claim in the case. During the trial, which took place in Trøndelag District Court last week, Krogstad denied criminal guilt.

In the judgment, the district court referred, among other things, to SMS exchanges between Krogstad and prostitutes.

SMS exchange

“1500? What does he want?” one of the women wrote to Krogstad.

“Will see what he wants, then you will know. He is not hardcore,” Krogstad answered.

“Ok. Do I get the money today?” the woman answered.

The court believes that it has been proven beyond any reasonable doubt that Krogstad mediated contact between women and buyers of sexual services.

The police started an investigation into Krogstad after Kvinnegruppa Ottar submitted a report following a post about Krogstad’s activities in Gatemagasinet Sorgenfri in January last year.

In 2001, Krogstad was sentenced to one year and four months in prison for pimping and illegal alcohol serving. The Court of Appeal upheld the verdict the following year.
