Oslo to start vaccination at nursing homes on Monday

On Monday, December 28, the first nursing home residents in Oslo will receive a corona vaccine, the municipality announced on Christmas Eve.

“We are ready to start the vaccination. At the first five nursing homes in Oslo, 429 residents will be vaccinated during Christmas. 

“The survey for all nursing homes shows that a very high proportion of residents want to be vaccinated,” the Nursing Homes Agency director Helge Jagmann said.

A total of 95% out of the 2,049 residents said that they wanted the coronavirus vaccine.

Residents in the nursing homes Cathinka Guldberg-senteret, Ellingsrudhjemmet, Lillohjemmet, Vinderen bo- og servicenter, and Økernhjemmet will be vaccinated during Christmas.
