Two girls in their early teens were injured when they were hit by a car in Nes in Viken on Wednesday morning.
“Two children have been hit by a car on a pedestrian crossing, and they may have ended up under the car,” operations manager Jo Rennemo Jellum in the Eastern Police District told the newspaper Romerikes Blad.
The accident happened on the E16 at Oppakermoen in Nes Municipality in Viken. The police received the report at 8 o’clock.
“Basically, their condition is critical, but they appear to be stable now,” head of operations for the health service, Hans Christian Jørgensen, told the newspaper.
Both girls have been transported to Ullevål hospital by ambulance. Jellum told TV 2 that the police have, among other things, started questioning witnesses.
“We will also carry out technical investigations and measurements at the accident site,” the operations manager added.
