Three children and a woman were killed in a fire in Finland’s capital, Helsinki, on Thursday night, stated the rescue service.

It was a neighbor who discovered the fire and raised the alarm. The woman and children were lifeless when emergency services arrived at the scene, and health professionals failed to revive the four.

The fire occurred in a house with six apartments east of the city.

It was limited to one apartment and there was no need to evacuate the remaining residents. The cause of fire is currently unknown. Both the police and the control panel are investigating the fire.

Study Leader Kai Valon says to news agency FNB that it was a very serious case and that it is important to examine why the four could not save themselves from the burning house.
