In several places in Southern Norway, the temperature in the sea has now surpassed 20 degrees. The beaches are full of people waiting for the announced heatwave.

According to the official overview from Yr.no, for example, the sea temperature at Kalvøya in Bærum is 21.5 degrees, measured at 6 AM on Monday. Bomannsvik registered the same temperature at Nesodden a day ago.

In the far south, Kongshavn in Kristiansand registered a full 22 degrees. However, such temperatures are still a long way off in Western Norway. Some places in Ullensvang in Hardanger report 20 degrees, but most bathing places in Vestland county are far below that level.

Still, fine weather and summer heat are on their way, so the sea temperature is expected to rise in the coming days.

In Eastern Norway, a heatwave with up to 31 degrees is expected in some places this week.
