The spread of infection is still at a low level nationally, even though there are outbreaks and clusters that require a lot of infection spread control work in the municipalities.

This was stated by Frode Forland, director of the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH), at Tuesday’s press conference.

Forland further said that after an increase in the number of infections in weeks 31 and 32, the number has declined slightly. There are 12.9 reported cases per hundred thousand inhabitants in the last two weeks.

– “The number of admissions to hospitals and intensive care units is still at a low level. Last week, eleven patients were admitted to hospital and none to intensive care units. One death has been reported last week,” said the director.
