On average, people want to quit their jobs when they are 65.2 years old, according to a survey. In the last five years, the average age has declined.

The data was revealed in the Senior Barometer survey carried out by the Center for Senior Policy (SSP).

Five years ago, the average age was 66.2 years. Thus, the desired retirement age has gone down by a whole year, according to newspaper Aftenposten / E24.

“There is clearly a declining interest in working for a long time,” SSP director Kari Østerud said.

“That is worrying, as the political goal is to increase the retirement age,” she added.
