This week, parts of Eastern Norway can enjoy this year’s first Norwegian strawberries.

“Norwegian strawberries have already reached the store shelves in the Stavanger area, and the first berries in Eastern Norway will go on sale in the middle of the week in our Mega stores,” Atle Olsen in Coop Norge stated in a press release.

During the end of June, the grocery chain expects that people all over the country will have access to Norwegian strawberries as long as the weather conditions remain favorable.

“The berries have had optimal growth conditions so far, and it is likely to be a good start to the season, with sweet and tasty berries,” Olsen added.

The high season for strawberries in Norway usually does not start until the second week in July. At that time, the prices of the berries will go down.
