Despite occasional bad weather and widespread coronavirus infection in the country, the Kristiansand Zoo and Amusement Park has set a visitor record for the autumn holiday weeks 40 and 41.
The park’s communications consultant Christine H. Berhus stated that they had 30% more guests than last year.
She added that guests were increasingly booking more overnight stays.
On the weekend in week 40, there was an increase of 35% in the number of visitors compared with the corresponding period of last year.
The spike in visitor numbers is connected to the park’s “Scary Days” program.
“It’s great fun. Despite a lot of rain, the guests have made the trip, and we are grateful for that,” entertainment manager Roy Bjerke said.
