A major power outage occurred in central Oslo on Wednesday morning.

According to Ruter, several trams were left stationary, and the metro station at Jernbanetorget was covered in darkness.

“Currently, the lights are out at Jernbanetorget station, so the subway is running past the Jernbanetorget stop.

As for the tram, I have been notified that we are struggling on the Nationaltheatret – Bislet stretch,” press officer Sofie Bruun in Ruter told VG.

According to Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK), a total of 1,132 of Elvia’s customers are affected by the outage in Oslo.
