In a new and comprehensive survey, eight out of ten nurses say they are afraid of infecting the elderly in nursing homes with the Coronavirus.

Aftenposten has had the nationwide survey carried out by the Norwegian Nursing Association. 3,800 nurses have responded.

According to the survey, 78 percent of nurses were afraid of transmitting the Coronavirus to residents. Every fifth nurse states to fear this every single day.

– “Throughout the Coronavirus period we have received feedback from nurses who say that they are unsafe at work because they lack infection control equipment,” says Lill Sverresdatter Larsen, leader of the Nursing Association.

  1. … which is WHY both nursing home nurses/staff and residents should be wearing even homemade masks, which according to that 2013 Cambridge study by Davies, Giri, et al can help “significantly.”

    It’s NOT rocket science.

I’ve even e-mailed Lill Sverresdatter Larsen, leader of the Nursing Association, about this but have gotten no answer … as usual, in Norway … and as far as I know she’s just going along with the official line that not everyone should facemask and nothing about making/using homemade masks in the meantime.

Are the nurses’ and bus drivers’ unions offices of the Norwegian government? – not independent?
