Meteorologists have issued danger warnings for a lot of rain in Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal. On the other hand, Eastern Norway could get a new heat record.
Meteorologists have issued a yellow danger warning for rain in both Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal.
In Trøndelag, from Tuesday afternoon, there 40 to 70 millimeters of precipitation is expected in 24 hours.
In Nordland, large amounts of precipitation are also possible, state meteorologist Pernille Borander told Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK).
“It will continue to rain on Wednesday,” she said.
Between 60 and 100 millimeters of precipitation is expected in Romsdal and on Nordmøre from Wednesday to Thursday.
Weather in Eastern Norway
In Eastern Norway, however, summer temperatures are likely to continue.
“Already on Tuesday, temperatures could rise above 25 degrees and higher,” Borander said.
According to the meteorologist, on Wednesday, a new September record could be set for the highest maximum temperature. As of now, Viken and Agder hold the record, with temperatures amounting to 28.5 degrees.
