The vast majority of Norwegian cyclists usually wear bicycle helmets. Still, as many as 18% never wear them, according to a survey from YouGov.

“Seven out of ten – 66% – say they wear a bicycle helmet always or often. At the same time, 16% answer that they rarely wear it. 18% say they never wear a helmet,” Trygg Trafikk wrote in a press release.

In a similar survey in 2020, 73% answered that they always or often wear a helmet. The share of those who wear it has thus decreased.
