The Public Health Institute’s infection app, which is to launch afternoon Easter, is well received by more than half of those who took part in a survey.

The infection app that FHI is currently developing is giving the mobile owner notice if they have been less than two meters from a person who has tested positive for the Coronavirus infection for over 15 minutes.

In a survey Ipsos conducted on the Internet in a representative sample of the population over the age of 18 on April 8 and 9, 64 percent say that they are very or quite positive. 16 percent replied negatively that Norwegian health authorities will use such an app.

56 percent say they are likely to download the app and use it.

As planned, the app will be ready after Easter.
