The Coalition for Vaccine Preparedness Innovations  (CEPI), which is headquartered in Oslo, has started work on developing a vaccine against the new coronavirus.

CEPI has launched three vaccine development programs, the alliance said on Thursday. Dagbladet first reported the case.

In development, CEPI will collaborate with the companies Inovio and Moderna, as well as the University of Queensland in Australia and the US National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).

CEPI was established based on the lessons learned from the Ebola epidemic in West Africa in 2014 and 2015.
