NorSea Group AS, which is operating major oil bases along the coast, is now being hit hard by the oil slump. Between 80 and 100 employees ,most of them in Stavanger and Kristiansund, will lose their jobs.

– We have reduced the number of hired and temporary employees, but it is not enough and because of this we unfortunately  must also cut 10 to 20 percent of our permanent staff,  John E. Stangeland CEO of the  NorSea Group  says to Sysla.

The bases in the Stavanger region, Dusavik and Tananger, , in addition to Vestbase in Kristiansund, are the bases who will be hit the  hardest hit by the staffing cuts. The cuts will be completed by the end of the autumn
