22-year-old Erling Braut Haaland is guaranteed an income that could lead to a fortune of around NOK 1.1 billion, according to a rough estimate from the financial magazine Kapital.

“Never before, as far as Kapital knows, has a Norwegian managed to create such a large fortune in such a short time and at such a young age. That would make Haaland, by a good margin, Norway’s first football billionaire,” Kapital noted.

In the calculation of Haaland’s wealth, uncertain income, such as bonuses, was excluded. Furthermore, estimated fixed expenses and tax have been deducted.

Kapital claims to know that Haaland, in line with his contract, earns NOK 220 million a year. This summer, he signed for five seasons with Manchester City.

Furthermore, it is estimated that Haaland collects around NOK 150 million a year from personal sponsorship agreements.

Kapital stated that he has so far accumulated a fortune of NOK 130 million. The sum consists of what he earned from being in Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund. It also takes into account revenue from a sponsorship deal with Nike.
