Over 150 employees lost their jobs in the rig company

The Dolphin Drilling rig company has started a new round of downsizing due to lack of work. Over 150 employees will be affected.

According to the Offshore.no lack of activities for Borgland Dolphin rig has led the company to decide on downsizing, according Offshore.no.
– I can confirm that we are in process of a new downsizing round that affects just under 140 offshore employees and 25 on land, says Espen Kristoffersen as head of the trade union Industry Energy Dolphin Drilling.
The management of the parent company Fred Olsen Energy has not confirmed the number.
– We are in the middle of the process and at this stage cannot confirm the number being affected, says CFO Hjalmar Krogseth Moe.
On last spring they also lost 180 employees in Dolphin Drilling business.
